TRENT FLETCHER

Economic Development Manager

Trent Fletcher serves as the Economic Development Manager for Greater Lafayette Commerce. Trent works to bring new economic based jobs to our community and region.  He does this by working with existing companies who are looking to expand their business, along with attracting new firms to the Greater Lafayette area. He coordinates Indiana’s Technology Corridor, a group of 9 surrounding counties that work together to enhance the economic development of the region. This is accomplished through continuous relationship building of existing companies, site selectors, and state and local governments.

Trent graduated in 2016 with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from the College of Technology at Purdue University.  This is where Trent learned the importance of relationship building; necessary to succeed in this fast and ever growing economy.  He started his career as a purchasing agent at Terra Drive Systems, an innovative manufacturing company who develops hydraulic rear wheel drive axles for combines and large utility trucks. Terra Drive is where he gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry; knowledge he will use to incentivize and attract new companies to this region.

He spends his time away from work at the Purdue CoRec playing basketball with his wife.  You can also find him out on a lake fishing for whatever wants to bite that day.
